Alpha Flight Controls Troubleshooting
Use this guide to resolve common setup, connection, calibration, and simulator issues with the Alpha Flight Controls and Alpha Flight Controls XPC.
My Alpha Flight Controls are not being detected by my computer
- Ensure the Alpha Flight Controls are properly connected
- Try a different USB port
- Avoid USB hubs if possible
- Restart your PC and reconnect the device
- Confirm the device appears in Windows Game Controllers or your operating system input settings
For best results, connect the Alpha Flight Controls directly to your computer before launching your simulator.
The Alpha Flight Controls are connected but not working in my simulator
- Confirm the device is recognized by your operating system
- Check your simulator’s control settings and ensure the Alpha Flight Controls are selected
- Verify that pitch, roll, and button bindings are assigned correctly
- Restart the simulator after connecting the controller
- Remove duplicate or conflicting control assignments
My controls are reversed or too sensitive
This may include reversed pitch, overly sensitive roll inputs, or inconsistent control response.
- Adjust sensitivity curves and dead zones within your simulator
- Reverse axes if needed
- Reset and rebind controls if behavior seems inconsistent
- Test the controller in another simulator or input utility
Some buttons or switches are not responding
- Verify button assignments within your simulator
- Remove duplicate bindings from other connected devices
- Reconnect the Alpha Flight Controls and restart your simulator
- Use Windows Game Controllers to confirm the buttons register properly
The yoke feels off-center or uncalibrated
- Disconnect and reconnect the Alpha Flight Controls
- Restart your simulator
- Adjust dead zones and sensitivity settings
- Recalibrate through Windows if necessary
- Ensure the controller is mounted securely on a stable surface
My simulator is detecting multiple inputs or conflicts
This commonly occurs when multiple flight controllers are connected.
- Remove unused or duplicate bindings
- Disconnect unused flight controllers temporarily
- Check for automatically assigned simulator profiles
- Reassign only the controls you intend to use
The Alpha Flight Controls XPC are not working on Xbox
The Alpha Flight Controls XPC require supported simulator software and compatible Honeycomb hardware configuration.
If using additional Honeycomb devices such as the Bravo Throttle Quadrant or Charlie Rudder Pedals on Xbox:
- Ensure the Honeycomb Xbox Hub is connected
- Verify all devices are connected through the Xbox Hub
- Restart the Xbox console after connecting devices
- Confirm simulator support for connected hardware
The Honeycomb Xbox Hub is required to connect compatible Honeycomb hardware to the Alpha Flight Controls XPC on Xbox Series X|S.
